Frequently Asked Questions

How painful is the recovery compared to traditional surgery?
PPH is significantly less painful. The staple line is above the dentate line (where pain nerves are located), so post-operative pain is typically mild and manageable with over-the-counter medication after 2-3 days.
How long do I need to stay in China?
We recommend 5-7 days: 1 day for pre-op consultation, 1-2 days in hospital, and 3-4 days of light recovery and follow-up before flying. You will be cleared for travel by your surgeon.
What are the risks?
